Tina Manoogian-King

Tina is a graduate of Penn State University, and has worked as the  Director of Harrisburg Department of Parks and Recreation for the past 20 years.  She worked closely with the Harrisburg city officials including Mayor Reed in developing many city projects such as Metro Bank Park, the National Civil War Museum, Reservoir Park, Italian Lake, Riverfront Park, and the Capital Area Greenbelt. 
She has experience in all areas of recreation, including project planning and management, grant writing, parks and facility maintenance, program development, recreational safety and special events planning.
She is a member of both the Pennsylvania and the National Park and Recreation societies,Capital Area Greenbelt Assoc.,Harrisburg Parks Partnership,and the Historic Harrisburg Association.  Because of her past experiences and associations, she has a working relationship with many of the local and state representatives active in the recrational field with whom she will be working.  Much of her previous exposure will be helpful in the area the Commission would like to see developed further in the area such as the Ridge Road park project, interconnecting bike and walking trails, and other improvements to parks throughout the Palmryar/Campbelltown area.
